The Calculus Of Fear

--
In The Calculus of Fear, I explore the paralyzing weight of the unknown and the fragile geometry of human choice. The monolithic stone and its piercing beam of light represent an absolute realityan invitation or a threat that defies comprehension. By placing a lone figure within the threshold while groups remain frozen waiting to decide, the artwork captures the exact psychological fracture point between action and terror. The onlookers are trapped in a silent, desperate mathematics, trying to quantify the risks of a transition they cannot understand. The still water in the foreground acts as a psychological mirror. It forces both the subjects and the viewers to confront their own reflections against the imposing scale of the monolith. The dark atmosphere underscores a grim truth: while one finds the courage to step through, those who hesitate are left behind, suffocated by their own calculations.
