The Weeping Lens
--
The Legend of The Weeping Lens In the Age of the Great Arid, the world withered into a silent, dust-choked wasteland. Rivers became scars in the dirt, and the sky held only hollow clouds that refused to bleed. In one forgotten village, the last circle of humanity gathered around a dry creek bed, waiting for the end. Seeing their plight, the Sky Mother took pity on the dying earth. She plucked a single bead of dew from the cosmic morning, stretching it into a colossal, floating lens of crystalline light. Suspended by ancient magic, this giant glass began to gather the stray, moisture-starved clouds from the edges of the horizon. Through its convex heart, the lens did not burn the earth; instead, it distilled the heat into mercy.
